A More Progressive Approach to Legal Representation

Man arrested on suspicion of numerous allegations in Tennessee

Situations can arise in Tennessee in which a person makes a mistake or is caught in a circumstance where he or she faces allegations of criminal activities. No matter how it happened, when placed under arrest for any reason, it is never too soon to start thinking about criminal defense to avoid a conviction or to try and have the charges reduced. Because of the extensive consequences and penalties that can arise, this can be the key to the future.

A 46-year-old Tennessee man was placed under arrest after his vehicle was stopped, and he is alleged to have injured a police officer. Police said the stop was made because it was discovered that he had a warrant for his arrest on aggravated assault charges. The man is said to have stopped his vehicle, but subsequently refused to exit the car. The officer tried to pull him from the car and the man allegedly put the car in drive and fled, according to police. The officer was hit allegedly with the inside of the door.

Later that day, the man was found by other officers in a store parking lot. He placed the vehicle in reverse and tried to flee. Other police cars stopped him. He was removed from the vehicle and arrested. He allegedly had drug paraphernalia in his vehicle and was believed to be under the influence. The charges he faces for the first incident include felony evading, driving with a revoked license and aggravated assault. Other charges are pending for the second incident when he was arrested.

Obviously, the litany of charges this man faces are serious. However, that does not mean that a person in his position should necessarily accept his potential fate and shun a strong defense. Every person warrants a qualified attorney to help with a criminal case. There could be extenuating circumstances, there could have been mistakes made during the arrest or the defendant might be able to receive treatment in lieu of harsher penalties. Regardless, it would be a good idea to speak to an attorney as soon as possible to prepare the case.
